The season is not the only thing changing here at Nazareth! If you haven’t been to our beautiful campus here in Pittsford lately, then you won’t even recognize it when you come back next time. Here are a few of our newest additions to campus…

The addition of the new, state of the art, Jane and Laurence Glazer Music Performance Center has been the highlight of the semester. With 550-seats, Beston Hall is a huge addition to our school and has a great impact on our music and theatre programs here on campus. It is big enough to have an incredible acoustic quality while also small enough to have an intimate and direct connection with the performances. Whether it’s a mesmerizing solo or an assertive ensemble, Glazer is truly the cathedral of sound; it’s an instrument in its own. The modern designed building is connected to the art center and right off the East Ave side of campus. It is a home to the new sound of Nazareth and is a place where new, current, and prospective students can showcase their talents! This not only influences the college but also the greater community of Rochester. On top of this, the current Arts Center is getting a facelift thanks to the $450,000 state higher education grant to upgrade the dated, but infamous, white roof.

Here at Nazareth we are also very excited to have a brand new women’s ice hockey program who will be competing this Fall of 2018, as well as women’s and men’s rugby to compete in 2019! These new sports teams will all get to enjoy the benefits of the brand new, 125,000 square foot, Golisano Training Center. Scheduled to open at the start of the 2019-20 academic year, this addition will strengthen the efforts of our college in the unification of Special Olympics and the Golisano foundation to enable us as a college to continue to include and diversify in every way possible! The Golisano Training Center will include an indoor track, fields, courts, and state of the art training facilities to promote fitness. If this isn’t enough, the Golden Flyers are also sporting a new and improved logo, which is featured on all apparel and at center court at our basketball court in the Shults Center.

Not only do we have new buildings on campus, but we’ve also updated old ones to accommodate students living on campus. Some of the upgrades included new beds, furniture, and more storage space! The updated O’Connor and Kearney dorms boast an effective and efficient work space that gives you the comfort of your own home and the customizability to make it your own!

Our college is always finding ways to grow and evolve for the better, all while maintaining its naturally beautiful campus and looking out for our students and the wider community. The anticipation across the campus is evident and there are big things in-store of our college; this is a very exciting time for students of all backgrounds, cultures, and majors, from all corner of the globe! I strongly encourage you come check out what we have to offer here at Naz. If you would like to see the campus, there are dates that you can book a visit on campus on our school website: https://www2.naz.edu/

Hope to see you on campus soon!
