As a senior, I have been to CARS before but never as a presenter. Back then, I didn’t really know and understand much about CARS, but now that I am sitting on the other side of the fence as a presenter, I have gained so much from this experience.

If you’re new to Naz, you probably have no idea what CARS is so let me explain. CARS stands for Creative Activity and Research Showcase, and it is a one-day event to celebrate students’ creative and scholarly work through posters, presentations, and performances.

For my CARS presentation, I worked with two members from my senior seminar class. For CARS, business management majors are the only presenters from the School of Business, so there was definitely some pressure to make sure we represented the school well.

Myself, Tate Martinez and Makalah Sizer created a summary of our X-Culture International Learning Experience. In this presentation, we highlighted our business plan for our company, Jacpack, a Colombian luggage brand. We explained our experience with working in international teams, as well as demonstrating how our report and experience correlated with the classes that we’ve taken during our time at Naz.

Although it was a tad stressful leading up to the event, I had a blast when it came to presenting. My group members and I talked with various faculty, staff, and students and it was a fun experience to grab their attention and show them what we have learned through this process.
