When I first visited Naz, I got the most amazing tour from music therapy alum Conner Burry. He was so funny and informative and I learned so much about being a music therapy major at Naz from him, too. I knew after that tour that I also wanted to work in admissions at Naz, if given the chance. I had volunteered for a similar job in high school, where I gave tours to new students and helped them with the transition from transferring schools. So freshman year, when the email was sent out, I immediately replied and set up an interview. The interview process was one of the easiest processes I’ve been a part of, and it felt more like a conversation with a friend than an on-campus job interview. Luckily, I was given the job and I’ve loved it ever since.

Being a member of the admissions team has been fantastic. My work supervisors are some of the most caring people I’ve encountered at Naz, because they genuinely want to be a part of your life and success at Nazareth, in and out of admissions. This past summer, I got to work in the admissions house during the week and that was also so much fun! I met people that I had never seen before on campus, and they are some of my best friends now! I also got to work different admissions events, such as Summer Open Houses, Camp College, and Twilight Tours, which was new this year. Knowing the ins and outs of Naz admissions has helped me come to appreciate the work the admissions team does. They truly try their best to connect to every student that applies or visits campus, and I’m so glad that I get to be a part of that process! One of the most rewarding parts of the job is seeing prospective music students from their first campus tours to their auditions (which I also work!) and seeing their love for Naz and personal passions grow. I’ve been so lucky to be a part of the admissions team for the past two(ish) years.

I highly recommend visiting campus if you haven’t already, and check out the admissions website, too!
