Here are some Naz things that all students, current and incoming, should know!

1. Millie’s

This is the on campus coffee spot. You will learn that Millie’s is your haven for “getting work done” or what really happens is talking with your friends for hours!

The best part about Millie’s is Erika, she’s a great staff member who makes the BEST drinks! Soon Millie’s will be able to host more people as it is getting a makeover this summer! Check out this article another student wrote about the new expansion.

2. Orion, Rosie & Tilly

These are the names of our on campus therapy dogs! Orion is a black lab, Rosie is an english springer spaniel and Tilly is a mixed breed. They are an absolute blessing to have on campus. If you ever have a time when you need to pet some pups just head on over to York Wellness & Rehabilitation Institute (YWRI). You can find all 3 dogs located right on the first floor!

3. Swoop

This is the name of our fearless Golden Flyer Mascot! Swoop is a celebrity on campus and it is quite the honor to catch Swoop out and about!

4. White Squirrel

This is exactly as it sounds, a white squirrel. There is a legend on campus that if you see the white squirrel that means that you will graduate on time! I have seen it twice and can remember calling my friends freaking out.

5. The CAB

This is officially known as “The Cabaret” but most students refer to it as the CAB. The CAB has our two retail dining options on campus called the Grill and the Roost. Both are great locations to get some good food or are known for being a great spot to hangout with friends and get some work done! Lots of events are held at the CAB like karaoke night and the super bowl party!

6. The Forum

This is an event space that is located in the Shults Center! It might not seem all that exciting when you pass it but it is home to some of the best events on campus. This includes a fan favorite… grocery bingo! This is the event when you compete for groceries from our local Wegmans. Personally I think it’s one of the best events that Naz has!

7. GAC

The Golisano Academic Center (GAC) is the main academic building on campus. It’s the oldest building at Nazareth University and was the former Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse. The four-story building has a chapel in the center, and serves as the home for Nazareth’s School of Education and several other academic departments.
