Hi! My name’s Makalah Sizer and I will be a senior this fall at Nazareth. I have begun to reflect as I enter my last two semesters at Naz. This college has brought me so many different experiences, memories, and adventures that I will never forget.

As a freshman, you come into college wide-eyed and a little nervous about what’s to come. Well, that’s how I was anyway. Freshman year came with a lot of learning experiences. Like trying to navigate and maneuver my way through the tunnels, finding the prime time to go to the dining hall, meeting new people, and forming new friendships. This year also brought on a bunch of challenges. Getting adjusted to a college workload, managing a school life, a social life, and being a college athlete. This first year of college sort of laid the foundation of what the rest of my time at Naz has been like.

From there to now I have been able to do so much. I was a resident assistant for 1.5 years, I have been able to work in the marketing department since my freshman year, I am still a member of the Women’s Basketball team, I am a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and I recently accepted a position as a Diversity Ambassador for the Athletic Department here at Naz. All of these different activities have allowed me to meet some amazing people, and do incredible things that I am so grateful for.

With me beginning my senior year in the fall, I am really excited for my final two semesters at Naz. I look forward to soaking up every learning opportunity as I prepare to start my career upon graduating.
